The host team Unicaja will be our rival in the semifinals of the Supercopa Endesa Málaga 2025 following the draw held this morning at the Patio de Banderas in Málaga City Hall. The game will open this edition of the tournament on Saturday, September 27, at 6:00 p.m., while Real Madrid and La Laguna Tenerife will face off in the other semifinal at 9:00 p.m. The two winners will play the final on Sunday, September 28, at 7:00 p.m., with all games scheduled to take place at the Martín Carpena Sports Arena.
This appearance in the first official tournament of the season will mark Valencia Basket’s seventh participation in the Supercopa Endesa, with one title won in 2017 and a final reached in 2010.
Enric Carbonell quotes
Valencia Basket’s general manager, Enric Carbonell, stated after learning about the pairing:
“Any of the teams we could have faced, whether Real Madrid or Unicaja, are outstanding teams. We got the host, the current Supercopa champion, the current Copa del Rey champion, so we have a big challenge ahead of us. In recent years, Unicaja vs. Valencia Basket games have always been great battles. Starting from that, and of course, I understand the added intrigue of two former Unicaja players coming back here to Málaga and to Carpena to face Unicaja.”
